About Belynda Moore Dressage Unlimited

Belynda Moore started her dressage training at Summervale Farm over 25 years ago. During her decades as the assistant trainer under the 2021 and 2024 Olympics short-listed Jennifer Williams, Belynda honed her skills, and developed a deep understanding of effective training methods and biomechanics. Since 2017, she has continued her advanced training with Olympian Christophe Thealette, and has participated in renowned symposiums such as Systematic Dressage Training with Olympian Cindy Ishoy, and Dressage thru the Levels with esteemed USDF Hall of Fame judge Alex Steiner. Belynda has also successfully participated in many Symposiums and Master Classes with her home bred Appaloosa x Warmblood to help educate the Dressage community.

Breeding and raising her own dressage horse, and successfully training him from start to Grand Prix, Belynda has a unique insight into how to train nontraditional horses to perform alongside top-quality Warmbloods. As an FEI Dressage Trainer, she specializes in teaching the real biomechanics of horse and rider, in a way that riders can truly understand, and become effective, and harmonious partners with their horses.

Belynda’s expertise of retraining horses, is an essential program that she has created over the last 20 years for tricky, hot or unconfident horses that need a new foundation. Using a form of natural horsemanship with a quiet forgiving finesse, Belynda helps horses understand how to think for themselves and self-soothe. This allows hot, spooky horses to be safer for their riders and lazy dull horses to become much more responsive and respectful. Creating confidence, and a solid foundation for safety, and harmony is the key to enjoying your horse both on the ground, and in the saddle!

Our Training Philosophy

At Belynda Moore Dressage Unlimited, we prioritize clarity and understanding in our training. We believe that when the rider becomes clear, the horse can completely understand what is being asked, eliminating confusion and frustration. Our approach is built on the principles of biomechanics, focusing on body, balance, seat, and proper aids to enhance communication between horse and rider.

Having overcome several major injuries herself, Belynda is uniquely equipped to help students who face similar challenges. She knows how to use the body to compensate for injuries that might otherwise make riding difficult, ensuring that every rider can achieve their goals.
